Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine installation requirements.
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to perform electrical tasks.
Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement solutions promptly.
Work with low voltage systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Collaborate with construction teams during renovation projects to ensure proper electrical installations.
Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure functionality and safety.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Proven experience as a Journeyperson Electrician or similar role in the electrical field.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage applications.
Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safety equipment used in the trade.
Experience working in construction or renovation projects is preferred.
Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues effectively.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
Job Summary

HVAC Journeyperson Refridgeration and Air Conditioning commercial
As a certified HVAC Journeyperson specializing in refrigeration and air conditioning, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of industrial, commercial, HVAC systems. This includes refrigeration units, air conditioning systems, and related components.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including:
Central and standalone air conditioning units
Heat pumps and VRF systems
Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Diagnose system issues and perform necessary adjustments, cleaning, or part replacements.
Conduct leak checks and calibrate pneumatic and electronic controls.
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and refrigerant usage.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
Collaborate with other trades (e.g., plumbing, gas fitting) as needed.
Operate service vehicles and maintain inventory of tools and materials.
Qualifications:
Alberta Journeyperson Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic (or equivalent recognized by Alberta AIT).
Minimum 5 years of journeyperson-level experience.
Strong knowledge of HVAC codes, safety practices, and refrigerant handling.
Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
Familiarity with ammonia and freon systems is an asset.
